After sharing about the power of grounding in yesterday’s post, I came across this photo of me in my element, back on the earth and surrounded by bluebell flowers. I’m realising that with all this time I’ve been spending in SE Asia these past few years, I haven’t been back in Scotland to experience the joys of spring time since 4 years ago now!
Seeing this picture transported me back to this peaceful moment, so I wanted to share it with you too. It was captured a few springs ago by my wonderful friend Pollyana Caldas Xavier Leaver of Primal Rising as part of her Wild Woman Project.
What a delight it is to walk amongst the bluebells when they are in season. Have you come across any this year? Are you lucky enough to have them growing in your area?
Fun Fact: Almost half the world’s population of bluebells are found in the UK. We’re especially fortunate to have them!
Bluebell flowering times can vary year by year, but they are typically in bloom from late March to mid-May, at their peak usually around April. So it’s pretty late in the season now, but you might still see them out now if you’re further north.
If you’re in or visiting the UK during bluebell season over this time, keep in mind that you can check out the lists of some great spots to see the bluebells on National Trust or Woodland Trust websites.
May you find a moment in the day or two to let yourself be truly held and nourished by nature. Whether it's in a local park, a patch of grass in your garden, or a woodland carpeted with blooms, your mind, body and spirit will thank you for the pause. 💚🌿
What flowers are blooming where you are just now? I’d love to hear.
With love,
💙 Fiona x
P.S. Here’s my last post on grounding, if you missed it…

We have the Spanish variety of bluebells on Vancouver Island and throughout the Gulf Islands. Cherry blossoms have been the big bloom here - we have a flowering pink tree in front of our townhouse that just dropped the last of the petals. My cats love the natural pink carpet. Such a cute picture with you and your niece and you look so at peace in the first picture for this post. Being held by the earth is a very comforting practice that I wouldn’t have considered doing this week without your other post.
