New Spring Beginnings
Reopening My Herbal Practice + a Springtime Tea Recipe
Dear friends,
It’s been a little while since my last newsletter in December. The past few months have been full of travel and family time, and I’ve recently returned from three months in Indonesia and Malaysia.
I’m now back in Scotland, easing into spring and a new season of work. I’m currently writing from the Isle of Skye while accompanying my husband on a Venetian plastering commission, and enjoying wild, wind-swept walks and a change of scene over my birthday week.
For the next six months I will be based in the Scottish Borders, once again welcoming clients both online and in person in the village of Walkerburn.
Herbal medicine has been part of my life for over twenty years. I first began working at Napier’s Herbalists in 2004, the same year I started my herbal medicine degree at Edinburgh Napier University. After graduating in 2009, I continued practising there until 2012, before moving to the Neal’s Yard Remedies clinic in Edinburgh, where I worked for the next decade.
Since the clinic closed in 2022, I’ve continued supporting clients through my online practice and am now reopening in-person consultations again in the Scottish Borders.
Over the past few weeks I’ve also been doing some spring cleaning behind the scenes. I’ve refreshed my website, updated my branding across my online spaces, and created a new flyer for the first time in several years.
You may start to see these appearing in cafés, community boards, and local spaces around the Borders. If you live nearby and know somewhere that might welcome one, please do let me know.
We’re also creating a small, cosy studio space in our back garden, which I hope will become a dedicated place to see clients within the next month or two.
After a long period of not focusing on my website, it feels exciting to refresh it and relaunch it into the world. My booking calendar is now live again, and I’m ready to welcome both new and returning clients.

My calendar is now open again.
You can view available appointments, offers, and reserve an appointment here:
Many of my clients come to see me for seasonal wellbeing, digestive health, skin issues, hormonal balance, inflammation, fatigue, sleep support, stress recovery, or long-term chronic concerns.
If you’re unsure whether herbal medicine is the right next step for you, you’re very welcome to explore my website to find out more, or simply reply to this email and ask.
In other news…
I’ve also continued nurturing my Divine Business Circle community.
It originally began as an in-person gathering in Edinburgh and Peebles back in 2017, and more recently evolved into an online co-working and accountability space for holistic practitioners and soulful creators who want to grow their work in rhythm with the cycles of nature.
For a short time, I opened a free tier while experimenting with the structure of the community. It will be returning to a paid membership from the Spring Equinox (20 March), so if you are not already part of it and the idea of it resonates with you, or anyone you know, you’re warmly welcome to join us or share it before then while the free tier is still open.
Take a look here, if it feels aligned:
As the seasons turn, it feels good to be rooting back into my herbal practice and tending the gardens, both physical and online, that support this work.
Below you’ll find a Spring Tonic Tea Blend recipe. It combines herbs that support the lymphatic system, open the airways, awaken mental focus and energy, and gently nourish the organs as they shake off the sluggishness of winter.
It also has natural antihistaminic properties, which can be helpful for those who experience seasonal allergies and sensitivities to prepare for the season of spring flowers and tree pollens ahead. Let me know how you like it, if you decide to give it a try!
If you’re in the northern hemisphere, depending where you are, it may still be a little early to pick these herbs fresh from your garden or forage them from wild spaces while they are still sparse, but you’ll find them dried and ready to infuse at most herbal stockists.
If you’re based in the UK and already a client of mine, let me know if you’d like some prepared. You can order these to be posted out pre-blended (£10 / 100g or £6 / 50g + P&P) or as single herbs (£4 per 25g minimum of each + P&P). Simply email me or WhatsApp your request.
If you’re not yet registered as one of my herbal clients, you might like to explore my Equinox special offers on my website and book an initial consultation to receive a personalised spring remedy. This also gives you access to my client-only home remedies order list, which can be tailored to support you and your family.
A quick question before I sign off:
What’s one health topic or herbal remedy you’d love to see me cover in a future video or newsletter?
If you’d like to explore my website, book a consultation, follow my channels, or simply send a hello, I’d truly love to hear from you.
Warm wishes for the coming spring,

The spring tonic recipe looks great. Do you know where I might get the ingredients? I’m in England. 😁
